Oban Distillery & Visitor Centre

One of the oldest and smallest scotch distilleries in Scotland and established in 1794, gain full experience by taking an informative tour with a knowledgeable guide and explore each part of the whiskey process. At the end of each tour you can sample their 14-year-old single malt at their contemporary chic bar. A selection of whiskey is on sale at the premises along with unique merchandise. Pulpit Hill

Rising to a height of around 239ft above Oban Bay on the south side is a “must visit” viewpoint offered in Oban. The other is McCaig’s Tower, above the east side of the bay. Both viewpoints give excellent views beyond the island of Kerrera which lies across Oban Bay, where a complex interplay of islands and mainland around the Firth of Lorn can be appreciated. There are well signposted footpaths to both viewpoints at the foot of the hill not far from the harbour.
